6/4/11- Gibson Firebird X
About a month ago, Gibson released it's revolutionary Gibson Firebird X guitar. Due to the fact that it's almost $6,000, I haven't been able to test it out for myself. But judging by the looks of it, I am assuming that it's great. What's so revolutionary about it is the effects that have been built in. It features many of the standard effects that you would get by using effect pedals (echo, reverb, distortion, etc.) and puts it all into one instrument. It also features a built-in tuner, but Gibson had already released that feature on it's Robot guitar series. However, it must be a really cool thing to have the ability to use many effects all in one. The downside to this is the price. You can probably buy each one of the effects this guitar has on its own and you would still have spent less than what you would have spent to buy this instrument. Nevertheless, this is an amazing design with many useful features and if you can afford it, it looks like it's worth a try.
